In 2010, the founder of Sheer Concepts, Sheeri Avrahami, graduated with a degree in Interior Design from Parsons: The New School of Interior Design. She received an award for her conceptual designs for the Memorial Sloane Kettering Outpatient Cancer Center in Brooklyn, New York. Immediatly after graduating, she worked with Martin Brudnizki Design Studios in Manhattan on a variety of projects including: Betel Thai Cuisine in the West Village, The Soho Beach House in Miami, and The Soho House in New York's Meatpacking District. She created valuable connections with leaders in the hospitality design industry, and later worked independently with Mia Chef Gelateria in Murray Hill and Digennero Commmunications to create branded and functional spaces.
